THERAPEUTIC RATIONALE:
ARSHONYT is a twin treatment for medical management of haemorrhoids. Melia azadirachta (Neem) in ARSHONYT Ointment exhibits potent anti-septic and anti-inflammatory properties. ARSHONYT tablet reduces the pile mass and checks bleeding as it has a mild laxative action. Indications

1) Medical management of internal and external haemorrhoids

2) Prevention of recurrence of piles following surgical removal

Dosage

Tablets: 2 tablets twice a day for a minimum of 10 days followed by 1 tablet twice daily for a minimum of 6 weeks.

Ointment should be applied before and after each defaecation or more often if required. Apply once at bedtime for painless evacuation to check bleeding.

Presentation Tablets:

Plastic container of 40 tablets X 3.

Ointment:

Tube of 20 grams.

1) Prefer bland food diet.

2) Consume of barley, wheat, old rice, papaya.

3) Intake of rhizome of surana is recommended.

4) Develop good bowel habits.

1) Avoid oily, fried and spicy food.

2) Avoid irregular dietary habits.

3) Avoid suppression of natural urges like urination and defecation.

4) Avoid smoking, vegetables like potatoes and pumpkins.
Action of the formulation: Pilex tablet- Pilex tablet reduces the engorgement and turgidity of the veins and venous capillaries. By relieving hepatic congestion and portal pressure, Pilex tablet plays a facilitatory role in hepatic disorders associated with venous congestion. The anti-inflammatory and anti-infective actions reduce inflammation, check infection and promote healing. The laxative property of Pilex tablet corrects chronic constipation associated with haemorrhoids.
Pilex ointment- Pilex ointment, with its anti-inflammatory, anti-infective and ant haemorrhoidal properties, helps to shrink the pile mass, control bleeding and hasten the healing process in inflamed skin and mucous membranes. The local analgesic action of pilex ointment relieves pain and the soothing action facilitates the smooth evacuation of faeces.
Pilex ointment contains:
Extracts. Lajjalu (Mimosa pudica) 5%, Bhringaraja (Eclipta alba) 3%, Nirgundi (Vitex negundo) 3%, Zergul (Calendula officinalis) 2%. Powders. Karpoora (Cinnamomum camphora) 1.225%, Tankana 1%, Yashad bhasma 1%, Base qs ad 100%. Processed in Nimba (Melia azadirachta), Katvanga (Ailanthus excelsa), kukundara (Blumea balsamifera), Bhringaraja (Eclipta alba), Lasuna (Alium ascalinicum), Vacha (Acorus calamus), Kakamachi (Solanum nigrum) and Lajjalu (Mimosa pudica).
Pilex tablet contains: Powders: Gulggulu (Balsamodendron mukul) .26g, Shilajeet (Purified) 32mg, Nimba seeds (Melia azadiracgta) 14mg. Extracts. Daruharidra ( Berberis aristata) 64mg, Amalaki ( Emblica offcinalis) 32mg, Haritaki ( Terminalia chebula)32mg, Vibhitaki ( Terminalia bellerica) 32mg, Aragvadha ( Casia fistula) 32mg, Kanchanara ( Bauhinia variegata) 32mg, Nagkesara ( Mesua ferrea) 6mg. Processed in Jalapippali ( Commellina salicifolia), Lajjalu ( Mimosa pudica), Kukurandru ( Blumea lacera), Vacha ( Acorus calamus), Putikaranja ( Caesalpinia bonducella) and Surana ( Amorphophallus campanulatus).

1. Haemorrhoids.
2. Varicose veins.
Adverse effects: Not reported.
Contraindications:
No absolute contraindications.
Directions for use: Apply pilex ointment before and after evacuation with the help of the applicator.
Special precautions: Pilex tablet is not recommended in pregnancy, but it can safely be used in the lactation period after lochia stops.
Dosage:
